Quality Assurance Unit

In accordance with Law No. 101 of 1992 establishing private universities and its executive regulations and based on the decision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology No. (9) dated 9-18-2007 regarding the approval of the establishment of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Misr University for Science and Technology and based on Article 3 of this decision to establish a Quality Assurance Unit in each college.

In accordance with Law No. 101 of 1992 establishing private universities and its executive regulations and based on the decision of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology No. (9) dated 9-18-2007 regarding the approval of the establishment of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Misr University for Science and Technology and based on Article 3 of this decision to establish a Quality Assurance Unit in each college.

The Dean of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing issued  Decision No. (11) of 2007 dated 11/11/2007 to form the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing, Misr University for Science and Technology No. (12) of 2007, then Resolution No. (4) of 2009, the latest of which is Resolution No.

(6)  for the year 2010, the unit manager and his deputy were also assigned by Resolution No. (9) for the year 2010 on 10/10/2010 and it was updated by Resolution No. 9 for the year 2013 on 12/1/2013.

According to the establishment decision, the Quality Assurance Unit is considered a unit within the internal structure of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing and is affiliated with the Dean of the College.

The unit is considered a center for spreading the thought and culture of quality in the college community and contributes to the development of the capabilities of college members, the assisting staff, and administrators in everything related to managing quality systems.

The unit continuously evaluates the college performance in all areas of the college work, whether at the level of institutional capacity or educational effectiveness.

The work of the unit is regulated by an executive regulation and an updated and approved organizational structure that includes a precise definition of the powers and responsibilities of the unit as well as its various committees.

The Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology is committed to providing technical support to the executive committees of the unit to improve the efficiency of the faculty members, the supporting staff, and the administrative staff and to maintain a distinguished level of quality of education, scientific research, scientific activities, community service, and environmental development at the college in line with high moral values and in light of accreditation standards for colleges and institutes of higher education.

The Quality Assurance Unit of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing aims to be an internationally accredited unit

  • The Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing—Misr University of Science and Technology—aims to evaluate academic, administrative, and community performance to develop educational and research processes, community service, and environmental development in order to attain accreditation renewal by the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Acreditation through:
    1. Spreading the culture of quality among those affiliated with the college, including college staff members, assistant college members, students, and the administrative staff
    2. Motivating college members and assisting staff towards quality and improving performance
    3. Describing and documenting the college’s activities annually
    4. Establishing a database for future comparison
    5. Identifying points of strength and weakness in the fields of education, scientific research, and community services, exploiting available opportunities, and avoiding potential threats to the college’s service
    6. Developing appropriate plans to enhance the college’s points of strength and work on the points that need improvement
    7. Following up on the preparation, review, and update of the program and course specifications in accordance with quality standards
    8. Conducting internal and external annual audits in line with the college’s strategy
    9. Analyzing questionnaires illustrating the opinions of students, college members, assisting staff, and civil society regarding the educational process
    10. Taking corrective measures based on the results of the questionnaire analysis and setting up meetings for continuous development
    11. Providing the necessary technical support to the unit executive committees, departments, and college administrations to help them carry out their duties towards the quality assurance system
    12. Ongoing follow-up and evaluation preceding the renewal of the continuous academic accreditation
