Celebrating World Autism Day

As part of Misr University for Science and Technology’s institutional and societal role, the university has been keen to celebrate World Autism Day, occurring on the 2nd of April every year, by lighting the university buildings with a blue color (the international symbol for this occasion). In line with celebrating this humanitarian day, the College of Oral and Dental Surgery, in partnership with the College of Special Education, took the initiative to open a new unit to treat autistic children according to the latest medical technologies in the field of dentistry under general anesthesia or local anesthesia to prevent them from suffering when receiving treatment with traditional methods, which may not be appropriate for their health conditions This is achieved through providing the children with psychological and behavioral rehabilitation before they receive treatment by trained psychologists under the supervision of the College of Special Education
