About College

Proceeding from the importance of the nursing profession in the field of health care development in Egypt, the nursing program was separated from the College of Applied Medical Sciences to become an independent college of nursing by the ministerial decision issued on August 13, 2020, to be finalized in November 2020 and to receive the first batch of students in March 2021.

Also the university provide its candidates with a wide of services incorporating the University’s central library which is equipped with the latest scientific books, databases, halls for scientific research, and an external annex for studying and entertainment.

Dean of College of Nursing

  1. Develop students’ skills, and abilities, and prepare them for the labor market through modern strategies in teaching and learning, strengthening the culture of self- and continuous education, and balancing knowledge and skill. 
  2. Update and develop educational programs and curricula to achieve national academic reference standards 
  3. Develop the capabilities of faculty members and the supporting staff in the educational, research and technological fields 
  4. Strengthen partnerships with community institutions to train students and graduates and qualify them for the labor market 
  5. Encourage and motivate the surrounding community service with a focus on projects of a research nature. 
  6. Strengthen the scientific and research partnership at the local, regional, and international levels 
  7. Provide technical support to graduates, following up on the problems they face in the labour market, and helping them find appropriate solutions

Program of Study

The College of Nursing offers one program, the Nursing Program, the duration of study is 4 years, in English, which is the main language of study at the faculty, in addition to a 12-months internship year (the year of clinical training), which is compulsory.

Student Affairs

Student Affairs works collaboratively to support the educational mission of the College of Nursing. Through the integration of learning and student life, Student Affairs strives to enhance the intellectual development, and career success of students.

Student-Oriented Tasks:

  1. Academic Advising: Assist students with urgent issues, credit hour guidance, and course registration, especially for those with chronic illnesses.
  2. Probation Support: Monitor students on academic probation to help them improve.
  3. New Student Orientation: Interview and welcome new students, providing essential information about the faculty and university.
  4. Student Union: Select students annually to form the student union.
  5. Foreign Student Support: Welcome and assist international students, maintaining a database for their needs.
  6. Youth Activities: Organize social and cultural events for student engagement.
  7. Student Exchange Program: Oversee foreign students in summer activities.
  8. Cheating Cases: Address academic dishonesty through a dedicated committee.
  9. Course Registration: Facilitate student course registration per college guidelines.
  10. Final Exam Review: Review final exams and coursework for fairness and accuracy.

College-Oriented Tasks:

  1. schedule preparation: lectures & labs schedule, final exams schedule, and proctoring.
  2. Updating course syllabus and content before the beginning and end of each semester & annual report
  3. Internal reviewer of the faculty program
  4. Exams & control unit: tracking processes of revising final exam paper, marking, second marking & approval of results.
  5. Scientific annual conference of the college: committee for revising submitted papers to participate in the conference (from different colleges & universities.
  6. Participating in workshops organized by the college

Nursing is a comprehensive word for all the services provided to individuals and their families by specialists and professionals for this profession, which began since ancient times all over the world with religious and moral people volunteering to help the injured and sick. Nursing has become a very important profession and has a direct impact in meeting the needs of the individual, family and society in health and disease, so the continuous efforts to raise the level of graduates and develop the profession is one of the well-established pillars on which the college depends through the community affairs and environmental service sector in integrating the sciences of the profession with the needs and problems of society to improve the health of the nation.

About the establishment of the unit
The Quality Unit was formed on..14. / .9. / .2021 .. in the College Council No. 6 on 9/21/2021. The unit has a separate independent entity from a special room No. 427 on the fourth floor in the university’s media building, where the Faculty of Nursing is located
