The College of Information Technology, established in 2001, specializes in three main fields: computer science, information systems, and artificial intelligence programs.

College Departments

The College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence is committed to prepare creative graduates capable of competing nationally and regionally to meet the needs of the labour market in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. 

It further aims to develop these fields through high-quality scientific and applied research. The College also collaborates with the national and regional community to serve society and achieve the goals of sustainable development

The B.Sc. program in Computer Science is structured into a 140 credit hours system (CH). 

The credit hours are distributed among the proposed categories as follows: –

▪ University Requirements: 21 Credit Hours 

▪ College Requirements: 42 Credit Hours

▪ Department Requirements: 77 Credit Hours (65 Compulsory + 12 Elective)

  1. Information Systems Department

The B.Sc. program in Information Systems is structured into a 140 credit hours system (CH).

The credit hours are distributed among the proposed categories as follows: –

▪ University Requirements: 21 Credit Hours 

▪ College Requirements: 42 Credit Hours

▪ Department Requirements: 77 Credit Hours (65 Compulsory + 12 Elective)

  1. Artificial Intelligence Department

The B.Sc. program in Artificial Intelligence is structured into a 140 credit hours system (CH). 

The credit hours are distributed among the proposed categories as follows: –

▪  University Requirements: 21 Credit Hours 

▪ College Requirements: 42 Credit Hours

▪ Department Requirements: 77 Credit Hours (71 Compulsory + 6 Elective)
