About College

The study began at the College of Archaeology and Tourism Guidance in the academic year 2007-2008 based on Ministerial Decision No. 2560 dated 20/9/2007. We aspire to collaborate with the Arab-Egyptian community for the advancement of such studies. 

Program of Study

The College awards bachelor’s degrees to graduates of all its departments, the student has to pass the designated credit hours to each department to qualify for the bachelor’s degree.

The bachelor’s degree in Egyptian Archaeology, Islamic Archaeology or the Archaeology and civilization of the Arabian peninsula requires: one hundred and forty-four (144) credits

The bachelor’s degree in restoration and maintenance of monuments or Tourism guidance requires: one hundred and fifty (150) credits.

In addition to 50 hours of scientific trips training to visit archaeological sites and museums according to each department’s specialization.

  • Antiquities inspector at various archaeological sites in Egypt and the Arab world.
  • Antiquities registration specialist, museum curator in various museums of ancient Egyptian antiquities and Arab museums, working with antiquities excavation missions in Egypt and the Arab world and institutions concerned with heritage, such as the Ministry of Antiquities.
  • Work in the education sector, and work in the tourism and guidance sectors after passing the Ministry of Tourism exam, for the archaeology departments.
  • As for the Tourism Guidance Department, they immediately obtain the license to work in tourism guidance immediately upon graduation. The top graduates are given the opportunity to work in Egyptian universities according to the relevant departments.
  • Working in tourism guidance, tourism companies and hotels.
  • They work Restoration centers and contracting companies working in the field of restoration and maintenance of antiquities.
