Introduction

The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is interested in graduating pharmacists with a wide scientific knowledge of different types of drugs and their interactions, side effects and toxicity. The department is also interested in conducting new research in various fields such as liver diseases and nervous system diseases.

The vision of the Department is to become a top-ranked research academic center in the disciplines of Pharmacology and Toxicology and to provide graduate education to students in a variety of research tracks. This vision is not only to prepare the undergraduate students for their future success in life, but also help them to develop a precise scientific outlook so that they can serve the Pharmacy and other Health-related professions in the best possible way, thereby improving the quality of life.

To provide the community with qualified graduates to practice in various pharmaceutical fields in accordance with international standards, conduct innovative research and offer professional services for health care promotion. The department maintains a leadership role in developing new technologies and conducting drug therapy related research inclusive of basic and clinical sciences.
