Introduction
Pharmaceutics is a key department in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing. Students study pharmaceutics courses from their first year up to the final year.
Pharmaceutics is concerned with the scientific and technological aspects of the design and formulation of different drug dosage forms. An understanding of pharmaceutics is therefore crucial to all pharmacists and pharmaceutical researchers who are involved in converting a drug into a dosage form to be delivered safely, efficiently and conveniently to the patient.
The department seeks to be a leader in pharmaceutical education and pharmaceutical research on the national and international levels. This can be achieved via providing a good quality of college education and excellence in the field of scientific research which aims to improve the health and well-being of the community.
The Department of Pharmaceutics aims to deliver a good understanding in pharmaceutics and communicate knowledge, ideas and concerns to the pharmacy students through a qualified program, which most notably include the formulation and evaluation of the various pharmaceutical forms and modern methods of drug delivery to the body.

- Conveying knowledge, ideas and various skills to pharmacy students through a qualified program that includes, in particular, the formulation and evaluation of various pharmaceutical forms and modern methods of drug delivery to the body.
